Thursdays between 10am and 4pm for 22 weeks, starting early September 2018.
This RHS course will be delivered at Holehird Gardens by the lecturing team from Newton Rigg College, to whom all enquiries should be directed.
The course is a mix of practical hands on gardening skills, demonstrations, plant identification and garden visits. The course consists of 6 units which include:
Ground preparation and soil testingPruning and plant maintenancePlant propagationPlanting techniquesIdentification of garden plants, weeds, pests and diseasesSustainable gardening
Course fee for 2018 TBC. Fee for 2017 was £620 (inc £112 RHS Registration Fee). The fee can be paid in 5 instalments throughout the year.

Be guided and inspired in the art of wreath makingWatch a number of different designs being createdCreate your own Rustic, Traditional or Fragrant Wreath to take homeRustic will be mainly bare willow, hazel with the addition of nuts and dried orangeTraditional will have a foundation of willow or hazel, ivy and hollyFragrant will be a Rustic but with cinnamon sticks, orange, orange oil and ginger.
All resources will be provided but please specify which wreath you wish to create so Liz can bring the appropriate supplies.
