PUBLIC LECTURE

THE SIR HAROLD HILLIER GARDENS 1953 - TODAY

Director of the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Mr Bopp will talk about its 180 acres, how it started, and will show a selection of different areas and a wide range of growing conditions and seasonal interests. These include a world class winter garden, a bog and peat garden, pond, spring walk, a vast arboretum, heather garden, woodland and meadows, not to mention the redevelopment of the largest double mixed border in the country and examples of the 14 National Plant collections the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens grows, the largest number of collections in a single garden.
